The 6th ranked (Class A) Tug Valley Panthers look to take a big leg up at solidifying their playoff ranking, but a hungry Westside Renegade squad stands in the way. The Panthers (6-1) will face Westside (3-4) on Friday at Westside High School.
Tug Valley will enter the game with freshman Preston May at quarterback. May has completed 62-of-97 passes for 922 yards, 16 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 88 yards on 11 attempts.
Sophomore Bryson Elia is both the leading rusher and receiver for the Panthers. Elia has 762 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns on 74 rushing attempts. He also has 24 catches for 438 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Freshman Cameron Slone has 15 catches for 241 yards and 3 touchdowns. Buddy Marcum has 12 catches for 199 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ashton Davis has 13 receptions for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Westside will be led by junior quarterback Kadien Vance. So far this season, Vance is 83-of-146 passing for 1,035 yards, 11 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He also has 223 yards and 6 touchdowns on 48 carries.
Brody Cline has 37 carries for 218 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ethan Walls has 205 yards and 3 touchdowns on 12 rushing attempts.
Kenneth Runyon is Westside’s leading receiver with 314 yards and 4 touchdowns on 27 catches. Kyler Kenneda has 21 catches for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns.
