East Carter slays another set of “Cats”. This time the Raiders slay the Lions of Lewis County, 38-6. With the win the Raiders improve to 6-2 on the season and have now won 4 straight games.
Lewis County falls to 2-6 on the season and have now lost 3 straight games. The Lions would struggle offensively. QB, Ayden Cooper would complete 10 of 30 passes for 64 yards and 1 interception. Alex Russell had 7 carries for 83 yards and 1 touchdown. Drew Noble caught 3 passes for 47 yards. Julian Puente caught 6 passes for 13 yards.
In total the Lions would have 64 yards passing and 85 yards rushing for a total of 149 yards of offense. The Lions would also turn the ball over 4 times on the night, 3 fumbles and an interception.
The Raiders would dominate the game on the ground. The Raiders would rack up a total of 278 yards rushing on the night. Ryan Carter had 2 rushes for 96 yards and a touchdown. Ryland Pfau had 3 carries for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bryer Holbrook would also score a rushing touchdown for the Raiders.
The Raiders’ defense would force 4 turnovers including a Landon Yoak interception that he would return 38 yards for a touchdown. Brayden Flatt, Jaxon Barker, and Allen Cooper would all have fumble recoveries for the Raiders’ defense.
Lewis County (2-6) looks to rebound and snap their 3-game losing skid when they host West Carter (2-6) this coming Friday, Oct. 20th. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
East Carter will travel to Russell this coming Friday, Oct. 20th for a huge district matchup between two teams that have not lost in district play this season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
