The 3rd ranked (Class AA) Scott Skyhawks remained undefeated as they stormed past the home standing Logan Wildcats, 55-9, on Friday in Logan.
The Skyhawks (7-0) got another great performance from Matt Frye. Frye completed 24-of-33 passes for 395 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Preston Cooper was Scott’s leading rusher with 16 carries for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Carson Brinegar had a monster receiving game with 13 catches for 227 yards and 3 touchdowns. Isaiah Bush added 4 catches for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. Brayden Clark added 2 catches for 56 yards. Clark also has 3 interceptions on defense with one of those returned for a touchdown.
On defense, David Fennessy had 8 tackles, including 1 for a loss and 1 sack.
The Skyhawks will have their bye week next before playing at Poca in two weeks.
Logan (1-5) will travel to Nitro next week for a 7 pm contest.
