Kaylyn Slone scored 31 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as the Phelps Middle School Lady Hornets stormed past home standing Feds Creek, 54-19, on Thursday.
Slone had been averaging 23 points per game before a pulled ligament in her knee forced her to miss some action. Thursday was only her second game back after injury, and she really made her presence felt.
She also will be a starter for the Phelps High School varsity team as an 8th grader. Thursday was a bright night for one of the area’s bright young stars.
