Friday Night Football Preview: Mingo Central Looks To Rebound At Point Pleasant

The 6th ranked in Class AA Mingo Central Miners will look to get back on track this week at Point Pleasant.

The Miners (5-1) come into the contest after falling to undefeated Scott last week. Quarterback Chris Ross leads Mingo Central out onto the field. So far this season, Ross has completed 67-of-111 passes for 1,005 yards, 12 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also has 53 carries for 290 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Dylan Vance is Mingo Central’s leading rusher with 623 yards and 6 touchdowns on 59 carries. He also has 13 catches for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Aidan Burke leads the Miner receivers with 347 yards and 4 touchdowns on 23 catches. Malaki Sheppard has 21 catches for 314 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Point Pleasant (2-3) comes into the game after getting a 20-13 win over Fort Frye, OH last week. Before that, they lost three games in a row.

The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm at Point Pleasant.
