Friday Night Football Preview: Tigers Face Tough Road Task At Herbert Hoover

The Chapmanville Tigers look to bounce back from last week’s loss on the road against a very tough Herbert Hoover Huskies team.

The Tigers (3-2) come into the contest ranked 14th in Class AA and will be led on offense by dual threat quarterback Robert Cook. So far, Cook has completed 32-of-64 passes for 467 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. He is also Chapmanville’s leading rusher, 236 yards and 3 touchdowns on 55 carries.

Elijah Pridemore has 189 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries. Jeremy Collins has 166 yards and 3 touchdowns on 35 rushing attempts.

Austin Adkins leads Tiger receivers with 16 catches with 345 yards and 1 touchdown.

Herbert Hoover (3-2) is led by quarterback Dane Hatfield who will challenge the Tigers with his arm and legs. The Huskies come into the game ranked 10th in Class AA.

This game will give the winner an inside track to a playoff spot midway through the season.

The opening kick is set for 7 pm.
