The Wayne Pioneers hope to get back into the win column on Friday when they travel to Lincoln County to battle the Panthers on Friday.
Quarterback Fisher Fry will run the Wayne (1-3) offense. So far this season, Fry has completed 37-of-75 passes for 514 yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He also has 95 yards on 33 carries and 3 touchdowns.
Colton Mathis is the Pioneers’ leading rusher with 182 yards on 4 touchdowns on 35 carries. Jaxson Damron has 36 carries for 158 yards.
Ronnie Staley leads Wayne in receiving with 10 catches for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kaden Estep has 108 yards and 1 touchdown on 7 catches. Rylen Murdock has 104 and 1 touchdown on 9 receptions.
Lincoln County (1-4) has lost two straight games and is looking to get back on track. The Panthers lost to at Woodrow Wilson last week, 49-21.
This will be an important game for Wayne. If the Pioneers can pick up this victory, they’ll get a decent amount of points for beating a Class AAA foe.
The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm at Lincoln County.
