Jamere Knuckles threw 1 touchdown pass and rushed for 3 more as the Pike County Central Hawks defeated the Floyd County Jaguars, 28-18, in Floyd County on Friday.
For the Hawks (5-1), Knuckles completed 6-of-13 passes for 40 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 155 yards and 3 touchdowns on 19 carries. Daymon Scammell had 75 yards on 17 carries. Lane Adams had 9 carries for 25 yards. Cameron Flannery finished with 15 yards on 5 rushing attempts.
Adams caught 4 passes for 27 yards. Luck Lockard caught 1 pass for 9 yards. Mason Hess finished with 4 yards and 1 touchdown on 1 catch.
For the Jaguars (3-3), Colt Shelton completed 11-of-28 passes with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He also carried the ball 11 times for 47 yards.
Marvin McDonald had 1 carry for 12 yards. Tommy Rogers had 6 carries for 12 yards. Jordan Sammons had 6 yards on 3 rushing attempts. Ethan Curry and Jacob Johnson each had 1 yard on 1 carry.
Brody Buck tallied 5 catches for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns. McDonald caught 3 passes for 65 yards and 1 touchdown. Keithen Moore tallied 3 catches for 19 yards.
Pike County Central will have a bye week before traveling to Shelby Valley on October 5.
Floyd Central will hit the road to face Knott County Central on Friday at 7:30 pm.
