Fleming County hosted Russell to open district play. The Russell Red Devils would go into Fleming County and leave with a 27-12 victory.
The Red Devils’ defense would hold the Panthers to 136 net yards and allowed only 1 TD offensively. The Red Devils’ offense would score 4 TDs, 3 on the ground and 1 through the air. Russell had 258 yards of total offense.
Red Devils’ QB, Ethan Pack completed 9 of 17 passes for 118 yards, 1 INT, and 1 TD. Pack also ran for 134 yards and 2 TDs. Pack connected with Ben Totten for 3 receptions, 76 yards, and 1 TD. Ben Totten also had a TD on the ground. Parker Mitchell and Elijah Hankins had 2 interceptions each, as the Red Devils would pick off the Panthers 4 times on the night.
Fleming County QB, Nate Martin completed 6 of 19 for 102 yards, 4 INTS, and 1 TD. Austin Trent had 16 carries for 63 yards. Austin Farrow caught 2 passes for 69 yards and 1 TD. Preston Everidge had an interception that he returned for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Fleming County (3-2) will look to bounce back Friday night, September 29th when they travel to Lewis County (2-3) for a district game. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
