The Oceana Indians remained undefeated as they defeated Man, 44-14, on Thursday.
The Indians fell behind early but then responded as Evan Hanshaw scored on a 30-yard touchdown run. Cooper Hatfield added the extra point. The Indians then got a 30-yard touchdown pass from Connor Booth to Jasper Riffe. Hatfield then added another conversion to make it 16-6. Bradyn Waldron got the last touchdown of the half on a 90-yard quarterback keeper. Hatfield added another conversion to make it 24-6 at the half.
Noah Ellis kicked off the second half scoring with a 40-yard touchdown run. A Man touchdown then made it 30-14. Hatfield scored on a 30-yard touchdown run. Ellis then added a 90-yard touchdown run. Zane Cook’s 2-point conversion made the final score 44-14.
“I’m very proud of our team,” said Oceana head coach Justin Tilley. “Overall, it is a great win for our program. Each week they have gotten better. Credit to my coaching staff. They are preparing our team very well and it’s showing each week.”
