The Pikeville Panthers got 335 yards on the ground as they rolled past the home standing Belfry Pirates, 40-21, on Friday.
The Panthers (3-2) were led by Brenden Anthony’s 206 yards and 3 touchdowns on 19 rushing attempts. Blake Caudill had 11 carries for 73 yards. Tayvian Boykins recorded 56 yards and 1 touchdown on 5 carries.
Isaac Duty completed 11-of-15 passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 1 rushing touchdown.
Jeb Wilkerson caught 2 passes for 52 yards. Boykins hauled in 4 passes for 36 yards and 1 touchdown. Bradyn Hall had 5 catches for 19 yards.
For Belfry (2-3), Dre Young had 79 yards rushing and 1 touchdown on 18 carries. Young also returned a fumble 93 yards for a touchdown. Ace Caudill finished with 68 yards rushing and 1 touchdown on 6 rushing attempts. Caden Woolum had 14 carries for 48 yards. JB Woolum had 6 carries for 37 yards. Jeremiah Austin finished with 2 carries for 3 yards.
The Panthers now have 2 bye weeks coming up and are not scheduled to play again until Octbober 5 at Dohn Community in Cincinnati, OH.
Belfry will travel to Magoffin County on Friday and take on the Hornets at 7 pm.
