The Johnson Central Middle School girls basketball team is off to a blazing hot start this season and setting the middle school basketball landscape on fire.
The team is undefeated so far. The 7th grade and 8th grade teams are both 18-0 this season, including recent wins over strong competition in Pineville and Berea.
Recently, the 7th grade team defeated Farristown, 47-15, and then beat Foley, 49-11. The 8th grade team beat Farristown, 50-31, and then Foley, 54-42.
The team is coached by Jim Hicks and consists of Emma Ferguson, Karlea Stanley, Paislee Sagraves, Lily Jarrell, Hailey Pullen, Madi Conn, Allie Slone, Elizabeth Blair, Jaylin Blanton, Emma McKenzie, Anna Cantrell and Annabella Allgood.
