The Perry County Commodores will look to get back on track Friday night as they travel to Shelby Valley to take on the Wildcats.
The Commodores (2-2) are looking to right the ship after losing their last two outings.
Kizer Slone leads the Perry County Central out onto the field. This season, Slone has completed 48-of-80 passes for 643 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.He also has 125 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns rushing on 26 carries.
Noah Kilburn is Slone’s top receiver with 319 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 receptions. Seth Jackson comes into the game as the Commodores’ leading rusher with 347 yards and 5 touchdowns on 68 carries.
Shelby Valley (3-1) has won its last three games and will feature a high powered offense led by quarterback Russ Osborne. This season, Osborne has completed 58-of-84 passes for 817 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Osborne also has 165 yards and 3 touchdowns on 43 carries.
Brady Bentley is both the Wildcats’ leading rusher and receiver. Bentley has 242 yards and 3 touchdowns on 26 rushing attempts as well as 270 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 receptions. Brett Sturgill has also been key to the ground game with 207 yards and 2 touchdowns on 42 carries. John Luke Fields has been huge in the passing game with 200 yards and 1 touchdown on 16 catches.
This will be a huge contest to propel these teams toward the midway point of the season.
The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm on Friday at Shelby Valley.
