FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Miners Travel To Man For Battle Of Unbeatens

The Mingo Central Miners will hit the road to take on the Man Hillbillies in a battle of 3-0 teams on Friday in Man.

The Miners come into the game ranked 6th in Class AA and will be led onto the field by quarterback Chris Ross. This season, Ross has completed 26-of-41 passes for 556 yards, 8 touchdowns and 1 interception. He’s also carried the ball 15 times for 75 yards and 1 touchdown.

Dylan Vance leads the Miner ground game, tallying 186 yards and 4 touchdowns on 13 rushing attempts. He also has 6 catches for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Aidan Burke has been the top wide receiver for Mingo Central with 7 receptions for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns. Malaki Sheppard has also been a great receiver so far. He currently has 140 yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 catches.

For Man, Devon Sanders will come into the game as the quarterback the top-ranked in Class A Hillbillies. So far this season, Sanders has completed 11-of-18 passes for 208 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also has 8 carries for 95 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Hillbillies have a trio of talented running backs to lean on. Jayden Brumfield has 16 carries for 161 yards and 1 touchdown. Kaleb Mullins has 15 rushing attempts for 106 yards and 1 touchdown. Corey Morgan has 17 carries for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this season.

This will be a huge game for both teams and will be valuable early on as these two teams build up a playoff resume.

The opening kick is set for Friday in Man at 7:30 pm.
