The Oceana Indians moved to 2-0 on the season as they defeated Madison, 26-12, on Thursday.

Connor Booth scored on the game’s first play from scrimmage as he raced 65 yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Bradyn Waldron tacked on the 2-point conversion to make the score 8-0. The Indians increased their lead in the second quarter when Waldron scored a touchdown on a 10-yard run.

In the third quarter, Waldron scored on a 26-yard run to make it 20-0. Oceana’s final score came on an interception return from Jasper Riffe.

“Over all we played a pretty good game,” said Oceana head coach Justin Tilley. “All three phases of the game were a lot better from last week. Credit to my coaching staff this week. They do a great job getting our team ready to play and have been huge for us.”

Oceana will next play on the road at Trap Hill on Tuesday. The opening kick is set for 6:30 pm.
