The Matewan Tigers rolled past Jenkins, 44-6, on Thursday in middle school football action.
Chase Dotson had a 3-yard touchdown. Scott Edien added a 40-yard touchdown. Xavier Sartin then added a 2-point conversion. Peyton Parker had 45-yard punt return for a touchdown and Sartin added another 2-point conversion.
Sartin added a 50-yard touchdown of his own, and Dotson added a 2-point conversion. Ray Johnson scored on a 3-yard touchdown. Dave Johnson scored a 2-point conversion. Sabastian Varney finished with a 43-yard run.
Parker added tackles while Dave Johnson had 6 tackles. Sartin and Dotson each had fumble recoveries.
Matewan is now 2-0 and will host Gilbert on Tuesday for Homecoming at 7 pm.
