The Tug Valley Panthers will look to pick up its second-straight win as they host the Symmes Valley, OH Vikings on Friday.

The Panthers (1-1) come into the contest after a tough win in a defensive struggle against Sherman, 13-8, last week.

Tug Valley currently is using two quarterbacks. Jaxon Nenni-Mills played early last week against Sherman and scored one of the Panthers’ two touchdown runs. Freshman Preston May scored Tug Valley’s other touchdown last week on a pass to Buddy Marcum.

Both quarterbacks have some weapons to work with, including leading rusher Adam Slone. Last week, Slone had 82 yards on 9 carries. Bryson Elia has been used as more a weapon in the receiving game this season. Last week, he had 70 yards on 4 receptions.

For Symmes Valley (1-2) enters the contest after defeating River Valley, 30-8, last week.

Willie Jones had a huge game for the Vikings as he had a receiving touchdown, an interception return for a touchdown and an electrifying 71-yard touchdown.

The opening kick is scheduled for 7:30 pm at Bob Brewer Stadium in Naugatuck.
