Pikeville High School Sophomore baseball standout Ian “Bash” Ryan earned MVP honors in the Third Annual Kentucky State AC Games that concluded on Sunday.
The invite-only event featuring top baseball players from the 2026 and 2027 classes. They were playing playing in their respective regions of 606, 859, 502 and 270.
During the weekend, Ryan had 10 plate appearances without recording a single out. He had 7 hits, 2 walks and reached on an error once. He added 5 RBI, 6 runs scored and 3 stolen bases. He also was had a perfect fielding percentage and helped record 2 double plays.
The 606 area code went 2-1 in the tournament, defeating 502 and 859. However, they fell to 270.
Ryan is the first player from the 606 area code to win MVP honors.
With this great accomplishment, Ryan will just keep preparing to help lead the Panthers on the diamond in 2024.
