The Floyd Central Lady Jaguars captured the 2A – Section 8 volleyball championship, 2-0 (25-18, 25-19) over Pike County Central at Pike County Central High School on Thursday.
Emma Bailey had 11 kills, 2 digs and 4 aces. Jady Hall had 10 kills, 22 digs and 2 aces. Chloe Howard added 10 kills, 1 block and 6 digs. Slone Akers had 6 kills and 3 kills. Layla Petersen had 1 kill, 33 assists and 10 digs. Abigail Johnson recorded 2 blocks and 2 digs. Jerrilyn Hatfield tallied 1 assist and 10 digs. Carleigh Frazier added 7 digs. Kendyll Hall finished with 6 digs.
The Lady Jaguars will next be in action on Tuesday when they travel to Betsy Layne for a 6 pm match.
Pike County Central will travel to East Ridge on Thursday for a 6 pm match.
