FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Pirates Host Johnson Central In Battle Of Local Powerhouses

The Belfry Pirates will look to get back to their winning ways, but standing in their way is a very good Johnson Central Golden Eagles squad. The two teams face off on Friday in the ARH Bowl at Belfry.

The Pirates (1-1) come into the game after falling to George Rogers Clark, 53-27, last week.

Caden Woolum has been a huge threat for Belfry in both the rushing and passing game. Woolum has 204 yards and 4 touchdowns on only 13 carries. He also has 8 receptions for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Quarterback Chase Varney has completed 10-of-19 for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns.

For Johnson Central (1-1), they come into the game after dropping a close 21-14 decision at Pikeville last weekend.

The Golden Eagles will rely on a strong ground game. Logan Music is the team’s leading rusher after picking up 130 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 rushing attempts. Logan Morrow has 125 yards and 1 touchdown on 29 carries. Christian Barnes has tallied 109 yards and 2 touchdowns on 29 rushing attempts.
