The Tug Valley Panthers are hoping to get their first win of the season when the Sherman Tide visits on Friday night.
The Panthers (0-1) are coming off a 38-0 loss to Mingo Central in their opening game but have the talent to get back on track this game.
Jaxon Nenni-Mills should start at quarterback. Last week, Nenni-Mills completed 6-of-12 passes for 57 yards. He also had 7 carries for 19 yards.
Bryson Elia was Tug Valley’s biggest weapon through the air last week. Elia caught 4 passes for 58 yards. He also had a highlight reel interception on defense that MetroNews listed as its top play of the week during the first week of the season.
Sherman (1-0) comes into the game after defeating Hurley, VA, 20-12, in the opening game of the season.
The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm at Bob Brewer Stadium in Naugatuck.
