The Wayne Pioneers scored all of their points in the first half as they rolled past the visiting Tolsia Rebels, 41-0, on Friday out Wayne.
For the Pioneers (1-0), quarterback Fisher Fry completed 6-of-14 passes for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 4 carries for 61 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground to lead Wayne’s rushing attack.
Kaiden Hayton finished with 45 yards and 1 touchdown on 2 carries. Jaxson Damron added 25 yards on 4 carries. Jarrod Perry had 2 rushing attempts for 16 yards. Rylen Murdock had 1 carry for 9 yards. Colton Mathis added 7 yards on 2 carries. Tristan Turner added 2 yards on 1 carry. Justin Perry finished with 1 attempt for 1 yard.
Ronnie Staley led all receivers with 46 yards and 2 touchdowns on 2 receptions. Murdock had 2 catches for 30 yards and 1 touchdown. Damron added 1 catch for 22 yards. Grady Spradlin finished with 18 yards on 1 reception.
Defensively, Zane Adkins, Isaac Wallace and Staley each had an interception.
Wayne will next play on Friday at Scott (1-0). The opening kick is set for 7 pm.
Tolsia (0-1) will travel to Midland Trail (1-0) on Friday for a 7:30 pm kickoff.
