Westside Crushes Rival Wyoming East, 60-6

The Westside Renegades got the 2023 season under way on the road by drubbing Wyoming East, 60-6, on Friday.

Junior quarterback Kadien Vance had a fantastic game for the Renegades. He completed 10-of-20 passes for 158 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 19 carries for 115 yards and 3 additional touchdowns.

Brody Cline also had a solid game, carrying the ball 9 times for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kevin Mitchell added 2 rushing attempts for 2 yards.

Kennith Runyon had 4 receptions for 63 yards. Austin Bishop added 3 catches for another 63 yards. Kyler Kenneda snagged 2 catches for 37 yards. Colton Lester hauled in 1 pass for 11 yards and 1 touchdown.

Defensively, Parker Lambert, Kameron York and Dakota Martin had 6 tackles each.

The Renegades (1-0) will next play on Friday when they had to Miner Mountain to take on Mingo Central (1-0). The opening kick is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
