LaBryant Strader passed for 2 touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown as the Ashland Tomcats defeated the visiting Raceland Rams, 28-21, on Friday.
Strader completed 9-of-12 passes for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns while also rushing 11 times for 47 yards and 1 touchdown to lead Ashland on the ground as well.
Braxton Jennings followed Strader with 37 yards with 10 carries. Jennings also returned a kick for a touchdown. Cameron Davis added 26 yards on 3 carries. Atayveon Thomas finished with 22 yards on 5 rushing attempts.
Brandon Houston led all receivers with 91 yards and 1 touchdown on 6 receptions. Davis added 2 catches for 29 yards and 1 touchdown. Asher Adkins finished with 1 catch for 8 yards.
For Raceland, Logan Lundy completed 14-of-21 passes for 165 yards. He also rushed for 27 yards and 1 touchdown on 14 carries.
Noah Wallace led the Rams on the ground with 40 yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 rushing attempts. Isaac Browning had 12 carries for 37 yards. Jaxon Heighton finished with 2 yards on 2 carries.
Parker Fannin led Raceland with 6 receptions for 76 yards. Parker Ison had 3 receptions for 28 yards. Brody Austin finished with 1 reception for 27 yards. Bryson Rowsey caught 3 passes for 18 yards. Heighton added 1 catch for 16 yards.
Ashland will next host West Jessamine on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Raceland will play at Letcher County Central on Friday at 8 pm.
