Dalton Elliott picked off a pass and returned it the length of the field on the final play of the game as the Prestonsburg Blackcats defeated the Leslie County Eagles, 30-21, on Friday in Prestonsburg.
Jacob Rose led the Blackcats on the ground with 162 yards and 1 touchdown on 20 carries. Colin Hatfield had 16 carries for 67 yards. Alex Harris added 16 yards on 3 rushing attempts. Nic Kidd had 1 carry for 8 yards. Elliott finished with 4 carries for 5 yards.
Bryce Holbrook completed 7-of-14 passes for 37 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions.
Elliott led Prestonsburg’s receivers with 5 catches for 45 yards and 1 touchdown. Kain Patton had 1 catch for 6 yards. Hatfield also had 1 reception.
Brayden Jervis had 2 interceptions on defense. Logan Stumbo added 1 interception.
Prestonsburg will next play East Ridge in the Pike County Bowl on Saturday at 7:30 pm in Pikeville.
