The Lawrence County Bulldogs look to pick up where they left off in 2022 when they open the 2023 season at Rowan County on Friday.
Coming off a 9–3 season, Lawrence County will once again have quarterback Talan Pollock running the offense. Last year, Pollock passed for 665 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pollock also rushed for 414 yards and 7 touchdowns,
Cody Crum rushed for 654 yards and 8 touchdowns last year and looks to add to that for the Bulldogs this season.
Jake Derifield is Lawrence County’s top returning wide receiver. Last year, Derifield had 113 yards and 1 touchdown.
Rowan County is looking to improve upon its 4-7 season from a year ago.
The Viking defense is looking to stop the Bulldogs. Leading tackler Jackson Hamilton returns after recording 74 tackles and 2 sacks.
Joshua Drake is back after intercepting 5 passes in 2022.
The opening kick is set for 7:30 pm at Rowan County.
