Mollie Barnette only allowed one hit and struck out 14 batters as the Logan 10-12 Little League Softball All-Stars rolled to a 9-0 win over Grant County in the Little League State Tournament in Barboursville on Saturday.
At the plate, Emma Lackey led Logan by batting 2-of-3 with a double, 3 RBI and 1 run scored. Ayla Vance had a single and 2 RBI. Rylee Miller added a single, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Barnette had a single and 1 run scored. Lena Setser had a single and 1 run scored. Lilly Fleming had 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Miley Fleming had 2 runs scored. Katie Hall scored 1 run.
With the win, Logan won the Herd bracket of the state tournament and will now face the runners-up of the Mountaineer bracket in the state semifinals on Monday at 5:30 pm. The opponent will be the winner of the Sophia vs Moorefield match up on Sunday.
