The Logan Little League 10-12 All-Stars are set to start All-Star play on Friday in Barboursville.
Logan’s roster consists of Emma Lackey, Katie Hall, Ayla Vance, Riley Miller, Lilly Fleming, Miley Fleming, Zoe Chaney, Mollie Barnette, Lena Setser, Addison Dotson, Kristi Dress, Addison Starr and Jenna Goff.
Of those 13 girls, 12 of them played middle school softball for area schools this past season. Lackey and Hall helped to lead Lenore to its eighth straight Mingo County championship. Lilly Fleming, Miley Fleming, Chaney, Barnette, Setser, Dotson, Dress and Starr played for Logan, which won its conference championship. Vance and Miller played for Chapmanville which finished as runners-up in its conference.
Lackey pitched ever inning for Lenore this past year while Chaney and Barnette split duties for Logan.
Also, 11 girls spent time playing travel ball this summer. Lackey, Hall, Vance, Lilly Fleming, Miley Fleming, Chaney, Setser and Dress all play for the WV Lady Reapers 12U based out of Logan. Barnette, Dotson and Starr play for Tsunami organization from Madison.
Five girls (Lackey, Lilly Fleming, Miley Fleming, Barnette and Dress) also played for the 2022 Logan Little League 9-11 softball All-Stars that won their state tournament before losing to Virginia in the regional championship game.
