Incoming freshman Nymir Bryant is going to spend his high school career playing for the Irish. Huntington St Joe athletics director and head boys basketball coach Todd Maynard announced that Bryant is coming to the school and intends to play both football and basketball.
“Nymir is one of the best athletes around in our region in basketball, regardless of grade level,” said Maynard. “He will join an already young established group of players. We are excited to have Nymir join the St Joe family!”
Bryant attended Huntington Middle School and won 2 county championships in basketball, averaging a double-double throughout the season.
He will also be a part of the brand new Irish football program starting up in the fall under head coach Adam Hill. The Irish football program will play a JV schedule this upcoming season before becoming a full fledged varsity program the following season.
