The Ashland Tomcats’ Tyson LaLonde snagged his first offer from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC recently.
“They (Shaw) started recruiting me in AAU last leason,” said LaLonde. “And then they came and watched me play a bit this year and offered me.”
For LaLonde, heading into his junior season at 6’3″, he’s currently busy preparing for his next season. later this summer, he will go with Team Mayo down to Myrtle Beach and Rock Hill, SC.
As for next season with the Tomcats, LaLonde is looking for a more expanded role with the squad.
“I’ve been playing really well,” he said. “I’m just looking forward to having a bigger role this year and being one of the main scorers.”
This offer will certainly not be the last as LaLonde continues to work hard and improve his game.
