Pikeville’s Rowe Shines In Girls Junior Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game

Pikeville High School Star Trinity Rowe showed why she is not only the best point guard in the mountains but one of the best in the entire state.

The Lady Panthers’ star put up 19 points to lead the Kentucky Junior All-Star squad in a 79-69 loss to the Indiana Junior All-Stars in Jeffersonville, IN on Sunday. In fact, Rowe’s points mark tied game high honors with Purdue commit Jordyn Poole on the Indiana team.

Rowe was pleased with her experience and performance after the game.

“It was an all-star game, so it was difficult to get a real flow,” said Rowe. “We had a rough start. Indiana came out really aggressive, but we started picking up our defense and making shots. I didn’t shoot well the day before, but I hit a few shots in this game. That got my confidence up a bit. I was motivated to come out today after not shooting well the day before.”

Rowe, who recently picked up an offer from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, currently has 16 offers on the table, but she is still weighing her options as she keeps working to improve. Currently, she is working hard with her AAU team with events planned for Tennessee, Maryland and Georgia. They’re also going to make a visit to the White House.

She’s also gearing up for her final season with the Lady Panthers and is wanting to make her senior season memorable.

“I am super excited about next season,” she said. “I have been playing with these girls for so long and am just waiting to show everyone how much we all have worked to improve. That loss last year in the Regional really was a reality check, so we want to come back and show everyone what we’re capable of.”

To go along with UAB, Rowe also has offers from NAIA schools UPike and Cumberlands to go with Division I schools Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, Stetson, Xavier, East Tennessee State, Southern Mississippi, Cleveland State, Akron, Chattanooga, Radford, UNC Wilmington, Wofford and Central Arkansas.
