Raceland Falls To Lexington Catholic In State Baseball Tournament

The Raceland Rams saw their season come to an end on Thursday to Lexington Catholic, 6-3, in the 2023 Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Baseball State Tournament presented by UK HealthCare at Counter Clocks Field in Lexington.

Lexington Catholic scored 3 runs in each of the first two innings to take an early 6-0 lead over the Rams.

Raceland finally got on the board in the bottom of the 5th inning when Conner Hughes singled to center field, scoring J Kerns to make it 6-1.

The Rams scored two more runs in the bottom of the 7th inning. First B Webb scored on fielder’s choice. C Thacker scored on a ground out to make it 6-3, and that is as close as Raceland would come.

Raceland ends its season at 25-10.
