The Winfield Generals scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning to come back and defeat the Logan Wildcats in the deciding Game 3 of the Class AA Region IV championship series.
The Wildcats drew first blood in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Dawson Maynard singled to left field to bring home Adam Baisden for a 1-0 lead. Logan added to its lead in the bottom of 5th inning when McCormick Ilderton scored on a fielder’s choice to make it a 2-0 lead.
The Wildcats carried that lead into the top of the 7th inning, but the Generals got hot at the plate and scored 4 runs to end Logan’s season.
Ryan Roberts was given the loss for Logan.
Winfield now moves on to the state championship semifinals.
