Winfield Defeats Logan To Set Up Final Game In Series

The Logan Wildcats could not keep Winfield’s bats at bay as they fell to the General, 12-3, on Tuesday in Winfield.

After the Generals scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, Logan tied it with 2 runs of its own in the top of the 3rd inning. Winfield took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning and then stretched it out to 5-2 after the 4th inning. The Wildcats closed the lead to 5-3 in the top of the 5th inning, but Winfield scored the final 7 runs of the game for force Game 3.

At the plate for Logan, Garrett Williamson was 2-of-3 with with 1 RBI. Jake Ramey was 2-of-3. Dawson Maynard had a double and 2 RBI. Ryan Roberts and Ivan Miller each had singles.

Konner Lowe picked up the loss for Logan on the mound.

The Wildcats will host Winfield in Game 3 on Wednesday. The winner will advance to the state tournament.
