Phelps Volleyball Star Casey Signs To Play At UPike

Phelps volleyball star and athletic standout Amelia Casey signed to play volleyball at UPike on Tuesday.

Casey, a 5’10” senior, was a force at the net for the Lady Hornets. She led the team with 180 kills, 65 blocks and 48 service aces on the season.

UPike is coming off a 4-24 season in volleyball, but Casey will offer them help as they join the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Casey is a star in track & field and volleyball as well. She recently qualified for the state track & field championship in the triple jump on June 1.

She also was fantastic on the basketball court. Casey played on the varsity team since the 8th grade. This past season, she scored 8.2 points per game, snagged 8.9 rebounds per game and blocked an incredible 5.5 shots per game.

Casey has always been a hard worker and will help to improve UPike’s program immediately.
