The Johnson Central Lady Eagles used strong pitching and hitting to earn a 7-1 win over Shelby Valley on Monday at Stonestreet Sports Complex.
At the plate, Mayson Delong was 3-of-3 with 3 stolen bases, a double, 1 RBI and 4 runs scored. Adyson Burchett was 3-of-4 with 3 RBI and 1 run scored. Randi Delong, Carrigan Ratliff and Keylee Blair each had a double. Madelyn Vaughn added a single.
Vaughn also got the win in the pitcher’s circle, allowing only 1 run on 3 hits while recording 9 strike outs.
Johnson Central will next play Lawrence County on Wednesday in the 15th Region Champions.
