Johnson Central’s Bats Explode In Win Over Lady Tigers In 57th District Championship

The Johnson Central Lady Golden Eagles unleashed a hitting barrage in a 14-6 win over Paintsville in the 57th District Championship game.

The Lady Golden Eagles were led at the plate by Mayson Delong who was 3-of-4 with a home run, 2 stolen bases, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored. Madelyn Vaughn was 3-of-4 with a home run, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Carrigan Ratliff was 2-of-4 with a double, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Josie Dials belted a home run, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Abbie Stambaugh had a triple and 3 runs scored. Adyson Burchett and Randi Delong added singles.

Vaughn also got the pitching decision by allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits while striking out 8 batters in 5 innings pitched to get the win.

Both teams now move on to the 15th Region tournament.
