The 4th seed Tug Valley Panthers jumped scored 4 runs in the top of the 4th inning and held on late as they defeated the 3rd seed Sherman Tide, 8-7, on Thursday in Seth.
At the plate for the Panthers, Zachary Hall batted 3-of-4 with 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Austin Smith was 3-of-4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 1 run scored. Brayden Dotson, Conner Lackey and Elijah Fluty all had singles.
Dakota Ooten got the win after allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits while striking out 4 batters in 5 innings pitched.
Tug Valley will play at 2nd seed Man on Friday.
