The Tug Valley Lady Panthers advanced in the sectional tournament with with a 2-0 win over the Sherman Lady Tide on Friday in Seth.
Tug Valley scored its first run in the top of the 2nd inning when J Spaulding stepped to the plate and doubled to right field, bringing home H Muncy for a 1-0 lead.
The Lady Panthers then got a double from Bailee Hall in the top of the 5th inning to score Spaulding for a 2-0 advantage.
From there, Kinna Justice took over in the pitcher’s circle. Justice only gave up 2 hits while striking out 7 batters to get the win.
Tug Valley will next play at Buffalo on Monday in an elimination game of the sectional tournament.
