The Pike County Central Lady Hawks scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning as they defeated Breathitt County, 6-2, on Friday.
Emalie Tackett had another big game at the plate, batting 2-of-3 with a home run, a triple, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Taylor Hannah was 2-of-3 with a double and 1 RBI. Sydney Thompson was 2-of-3 with a stolen base and 1 run scored. Cailyn Holbrook had a triple. Abby Hess and Chloe Hannah finished with a double apiece. Kaiden Hess and Hannah May each had singles.
Hannah was great in the pitcher’s circle, allowing only 1 earned run on 5 hits while recording 11 strikeouts to get the win.
The Lady Hawks will next play on on Saturday at Ashland.
