The Chapmanville Tigers took the lead in the 2nd inning and never looked back as they defeated the George Washington Patriots, 9-5, on Friday.
For the Tigers, Trey Butcher was 3-of-4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI and 1 run scored. Jacob Topping was 2-of-4 with a double, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Brody Dalton and Talan Thompson each had a double. Luke Knight, Andrew Farley and Eli Surgoine each had a single apiece.
On the mound, Braylon Moore got the win after allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and recorded 4 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched.
The Tigers will enter sectional tournament play next week.
