Belfry striker Aidan McCoy is going to continue his soccer career at the next level. McCoy signed with UPike on Monday.
McCoy had a great season for the Pirates this past season, recording 14 goals and 9 assists. For his career, McCoy ranks among the best players in Belfry’s history. He is 10th in shots taken with 151, 7th in goals with 27, 6th in assists with 21 and 9th in corner kicks taken at 44.
McCoy helped the Pirates go from 4 wins in 2021 to 12 wins in 2022. His accolades include being a two-time team captain, a two-time 2A Section 8 Champion, a 2A Final Four appearance, a 2021 state champion in football, 41-of-43 on field goal attempts in football in 2022 and 1/1 on field goals in football in 2022.
McCoy should help out the Bears as they begin their first season in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
