The Logan Wildcats got 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning as they defeated the Chapmanville Tigers, 5-2, on Wednesday in Chapmanville.
The Tigers jumped on the board first when Trey Butcher singled home Luke Knight for a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. Logan then battled back with 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning. First, Ivan Miller singled to bring home Ryan Roberts. Then, Konner Lowe smacked a single to right field, bringing home Aiden Slack for a 2-1 Logan lead. Miller later scored on a sacrifice fly to make it a 3-1 Wildcat advantage.
Chapmanville cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Knight scored on a Brody Dalton sacrifice fly. The Wildcats got their final runs in the top of the 7th inning when Garrett Williamson double to center field, scoring both Cole Blankenship and Dawson Maynard.
On the mound, Lowe piked up the win after allowing 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 6 batters over 5 innings. Braylon Moore was given the loss for Chapmanville.
Logan will next host Tug Valley on Thursday. Chapmanville will clash with Nitro on Thursday.
