The Wayne Pioneers scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning for a walk off win over the Poca Dots on Wednesday out Wayne.
After Poca scored a run in the top of the 1st inning, Wayne exploded for 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Levi Queen doubled home Logan Prater to tie the game at 1-1. The Pioneers then took the lead when Queen scored on a bases loaded walk. Kaden Watts then scored on an infield single from T McMillon to make it a 3-1 game.
The Dots retook the lead in the top of the 3rd inning with 4 runs to make it a 5-3 lead. The score remained the same until the bottom of the 7th inning. First Prater scored on a wild pitch. Then, Queen scored on an infield single from Austin Porter to make it a tied game, 5-5. Eli Steele then doubled to left field, scoring Porter for the winning run.
Riley Brown got the win on the mound after allowing no runs on only 3 hits while recording 6 strikeouts in 4-1/3 innings pitched.
Wayne will next play at Logan on Friday.
