The Floyd Central Lady Jaguars pounded out 12 hits on the way to a 9-4 win over the Betsy Layne Lady Bobcats on Tuesday.
For Floyd Central, Delilah Rodriguez was 3-of-3 with a double, 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Brooklyn Lewis was 2-of-4 with a double and 1 run scored. Whitley Hall was 2-of-3 with 2 runs scored. Madi Meade was 2-of-3 with a stolen base, 2 RBI and 1 run scored. Cadyn Roberson, Mia Queen-Gilliam and Alaina Morris each had singles in the win.
For Betsy Layne, Emily Johnson was 2-of-3 with a double, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Jayden Jarrell had a triple and 1 RBI. Hannah Mitchell, Brookelyn Thacker, Laci Hall, Laiken Keathley, Kayley Lee and Allison Hamilton all had hits.
Roberson got win by allowing only 2 runs on 9 hits while striking out 5 batters. Mitchell got the loss for Betsy Layne.
Floyd Central will next play East Ridge on Thursday. Betsy Layne will take on Prestonsburg this Thursday.
