Skyhawks Defeat Point Pleasant, 3-2

The Scott Skyhawks scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and then were able to hold on for a 3-2 win on Friday in West Madison.

Point Pleasant took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. Scott battled back in the bottom of the 1st inning when Hunter Null doubled to bring in Griffin Miller to tie the game at 1-1. Austin Light then singled to left field, bringing in Ryan Neal and a 2-1 Skyhawk lead.

The score remained the same until the bottom of the 4th inning when Carter McClung singled home H Johnson. Point Pleasant scored in the top of the 5th inning, but the Skyhawks would hold on for the win.

On the mound, Null pitched a complete game, allowing only 2 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts to earn the win.

Scott will next on Saturday when it travels out Wayne.
