The Tug Valley Panthers got a nice win on Wednesday as they defeated the Van Bulldogs, 7-1, on Wednesday in Van.
For the Panthers, Austin Smith was 2-of-4 with a stolen base and 1 run scored. Chandler Copley was 2-of-4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Ashton Smith added a triple. Dakota Ooten and Julian Vance had doubles. Brayden Dotson, Conner Lackey, Jacob Jones and Zachary Hall all had singles in the win.
Ooten earned the win on the mound by allowing only 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 10 batters over 6 innings.
Tug Valley will next play the Sherman Tide on Thursday.
