The Pike County Central Lady Hawks were able to pull out an impressive 4-1 win over the Logan Lady Wildcats on Friday at home.
Pike County Central started the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Kaiden Hess came home on a Sydney Thompson infield single for a 1-0 lead.
Logan tied the game up at 1-1 in the top of the 4th inning when Kenna Ooten doubled to left field, scoring Myleigh Adkins.
Emalie Tackett gave the Lady Hawks a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning on a single to score Kylie Branham. Pike County Central got two final runs in the bottom of the 6th inning when Liv Sanders and Abby Hess scored on an error for the final 4-1 margin.
Chloe Hannah earned the win in the pitcher’s circle, allowing 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 6 batters. Shae Conley got the loss for Logan after allowing only 1 earned run on 8 hits while striking out 6 batters.
Pike County Central will next play on Tuesday when it plays at Perry County Central. Logan will hit the field on Monday by hosting Nitro.
