The Belfry Lady Pirates pounded out 17 hits as they defeated home standing Knott County Central, 23-13, on Friday.
The Lady Pirates were led by 8th grade sensation Molly Fahm. Fahm was 5-of-6 at the plate with a home run, double, 7 RBI and 2 runs scored. Myra Bevins was 3-of-5 with a double, 1 RBI and 4 runs scored. Abbi Vipperman was 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored. Zoey Caudill batted 2-for-4 with a stolen base, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Natalie Fite had a double, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Makaylin Meade, Bell Howard and Takara May all had singles in the win.
Bevins gave up only 3 earned runs over 6 innings while striking out 6 batters to get the win.
Belfry will next play Floyd Central on Monday.
