The Prestonsburg Blackcats defeated the Paintsville Tigers, 3-1, on Friday in the 15th Region All “A” Classic at Prestonsburg.
For the Blackcats, junior Nick Kidd was 2-of-4 with 2 stolen bases. Jon Little was also 2-of-4 with 2 stolen bases. Luke Hall was 2-of-4 2 with 3 RBI.
Matt Welch pitched a 7 inning complete game, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 4 batters to get the win.
Prestonsburg was scheduled to play Pikeville on Saturday.
